Ethan’s Walk For Autism 2026 Story
He actually did it
What started as a simple idea between Ethan and his sister Emma turned into something far bigger than anyone expected.
10,000 steps a day. That was the plan.
A £500 target. That felt like a stretch at the time.
And now?
Over £1,000 raised. Challenge complete.
It still feels a bit mad saying it out loud.
The bit people don’t always see
It is easy to look at the end result.
The total. The finish line. The “well done”.
But the real story is everything in between.
33 days of showing up.
Every single day, those steps got done. No matter what the day looked like. Busy, tired, not in the mood, it did not matter.
10,000 steps. Every day.
No catching up. No skipping. No excuses.
That kind of consistency does not shout about itself. It just quietly proves what someone is made of.
The reason behind it all
This was never just about steps.
It was about his niece.
A little girl growing up in a world that is not always built for her. A world that does not always understand straight away.
That is what made this different.
Every step had meaning. Every day had purpose.
It was about raising awareness, helping people understand more, and supporting families going through similar journeys.
That is what kept him going on the days where it would have been easier not to.
When £500 disappeared very quickly
The original goal was £500.
A good target. Something to aim for.
Then the support started coming in.
Friends. Family. Clients. People from the wider business network. Messages, donations, people checking in.
And before the challenge had even officially started… the £500 target had already been smashed.
Completely.
So the challenge grew.
What was meant to be eight days turned into 33.
Because when that many people back you, you do not stop early.
Over £1,000 and still going
By the end of it, the total had passed £1,000.
Double the original target.
That does not just happen.
It happens because people care. Because they choose to support something that matters.
So much of that support came from friends, family, and the wider network across Truly Yours Agency, I’m Your P.A. and I’m Your V.A.
It is a proper reminder of how powerful that support can be when it all comes together.
Finished… and very ready for a rest
33 days. Done.
Over £1,000 raised.
That is something to be seriously proud of.
And yes, the Fitbit is absolutely going in a drawer for a while. It has earned a rest.
But this is not quite the end.
Donations are still open until 30th April, and every extra bit of support still makes a difference.
